Folding
How to fold a Christmas tree napkin
It takes about a minute once you have done the first one. Square cotton napkins hold the folds best, and ours are 44 × 44 cm.
-
Fold it in four
Fold the napkin in half, then in half again, to make a smaller square.
-
Make a diamond
Turn it so it sits as a diamond, with the four loose corners at the bottom.
-
Fold the layers up
Fold the top layer up to just below the top point. Fold the next three up the same way, each about 2 cm lower than the last.
-
Turn and fold the sides
Turn the napkin over, then fold the left and right corners in to meet in the middle.
-
Tuck in the tiers
Turn it back over. Starting at the top, fold each layer’s corner up and tuck it under the layer above.
-
Set it on the plate
Lay it on the plate and finish the top with a star, a sprig of rosemary or a name card.

More about Christmas napkins
Cloth napkins for Christmas
Our Christmas napkins are 100% cotton and 44 × 44 cm, large enough to cover a lap at dinner and to fold into a tree, a fan or a simple oblong under the cutlery.
Matching or mixing
Each design’s napkins match its tablecloth and runner exactly. Plain napkins sit with any of the printed cloths.
